TRAINER CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS

Trainer Pre-Qualification

Before you consider VitalSmarts Trainer Certification, consider whether or not you meet the following requirements and skills:

• Presentation and classroom facilitation skills
• Ability/experience in delivering courses according to a prescribed curriculum
• Competence/comfort using audiovisual equipment, CD-based presentation materials, and LCD projectors
• A commitment to personally master the principles and skills you’re teaching
• A sponsoring workplace that has committed budget to your training and to the participant materials required to teach each student

Certified Trainer Agreement:

VitalSmarts Certified Trainer candidates are individuals who are employees of an organization who plans to provide in-house training to that organization's employees. VitalSmarts trainers are certified to teach our courses exclusively to employees within their own organizations. Prior to registering for any certification event, candidates will be asked to accept the terms of the VitalSmarts Certification Agreement. In summary, this agreement requires the following:

• Certification is owned and sponsored by the company, not the trainer. In the event of employment termination or transfer, the new company must sponsor the trainer by purchasing the new trainer materials and by signing a new trainer agreement.
• Any time in-house training is conducted, participants will be supplied with new and original copies of all required materials.
• A trainer's certification process is based on passing all requirements outlined in the Trainer Certification Course.

Training and consulting firms, external executive coaches, and other external organizational development service providers must receive approval by VitalSmarts before registering for any VitalSmarts courses or trainer certification.

Please Note:
If you attempt to register for a Trainer Certification Course, you will be required to submit the VitalSmarts Trainer Certification Agreement. Your seat in any certification event will not be confirmed until the signed agreement has been returned by email or fax, and the tuition payment has been received.
