A not-for-profit global microfinance accelerator, Unitus acts as a social venture-capital investor for the microfinance industry. Through investments and capacity-building consulting, Unitus empowers the highest-potential microfinance institutions in developing countries to help exponentially more economically disadvantaged people worldwide. In doing so, Unitus enables people to permanently raise themselves and their families out of poverty. VitalSmarts donates both time and money on an annual basis to help Unitus accelerate microfinance work throughout the world. Over the past four years, VitalSmarts has made it possible for microfinance organizations to extend 25,000 loans, which have affected more than 125,000 people.

United Way of Utah County works with numerous community partners to solve key issues and their contributing factors. By assessing the needs of the community and applying get-in-there-and-make-a-difference leadership to solve simple and complex problems, United Way improves lives one at a time. VitalSmarts donates time and intellectual property to train United Way faculty, volunteers, and their partner organizations in Crucial Conversations® and Crucial Confrontations™.

VitalSmarts funds a $1500 annual scholarship for students of organizational behavior in the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.
